Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026
The part that matters most. PhotoFroggy can permanently delete photos and videos from your iPhone. That cannot be undone by us or by anyone else. You are responsible for checking you have copies of anything you tell it to delete.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and Holly Tree Group, a sole proprietorship in Japan ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using PhotoFroggy (the "Software") you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the Software.
2. Licence
When you buy a licence we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual right to use the Software on computers you own or control, for your own purposes, whether personal or within your own business. One licence key may be active on up to three such computers at a time; deactivating it on one (in the app's settings) frees that place for another.
You may not resell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software or your licence key; share your key publicly; or remove, disable or work around its licensing. You may not represent the Software as your own product.
The Software is licensed, not sold. We retain all intellectual property in it, including its name, logo and mascot.
3. The free version
The Software may be used without payment subject to the export and delete limits shown on our site. Those limits may change for future releases. A licence removes them.
4. Your data and your device
The Software operates on your own computer and your own iPhone. We do not receive, host or back up your photos, videos or library. Keeping backups is your responsibility.
4.1 Deletion is permanent
Deleting from the device removes items from the phone's photo library. They do not go to Recently Deleted and cannot be recovered through the Software. The Software will only offer to delete items for which it has verified a copy on your computer by filename and exact byte count, and it warns you before acting, but the decision, and the consequences, are yours.
4.2 iCloud
If iCloud Photos is enabled on your iPhone, deleting an item removes it from iCloud and from every device signed in to that account. That is Apple's behaviour, not ours. The Software warns you when it detects this.
5. Requirements and compatibility
The Software requires Windows and Apple Mobile Device Support, which Apple distributes with iTunes and the Apple Devices app. It reads Apple's photo database format, which Apple may change in any iOS release. We will make reasonable efforts to keep up, but we cannot guarantee compatibility with future versions of iOS, Windows or Apple's software.
6. Not affiliated with Apple
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Apple Inc. Apple, iPhone, iTunes, iCloud and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names are the property of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
7. No warranty
The Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your requirements.
Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under the law where you live.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of use, arising from or relating to the Software.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Software is limited to the amount you paid for your licence.
None of the above limits or excludes liability for damage caused by our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including Japan's Consumer Contract Act.
9. Updates and end of life
A licence lets you use the Software for as long as it runs on your system, with no further payment.
A licence includes all updates we publish to the Software, at no extra cost and with no subscription. That includes fixes for compatibility with later versions of iOS or Windows (see §5). Licences bought before the one-time price was introduced receive the same.
We may stop publishing updates at any time. If we discontinue the Software we will aim to give reasonable notice on this site, and any version you already hold will continue to work for as long as it works on your system.
10. Termination
Your licence ends if you breach these terms, in particular by redistributing the Software or circumventing its licensing. On termination you must stop using the Software and remove it.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when. Material changes apply to purchases made after they are posted.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of the Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
