Everything PhotoFroggy does
One Windows app that copies your iPhone's photos, videos, albums, messages, contacts, music and files to your PC, over a USB cable or your home Wi-Fi, then helps you free up space safely. No account, no cloud, no subscription.
Why people pick PhotoFroggy
Your real library, not a camera folder
Windows shows an iPhone as one folder of IMG_4471.HEIC
files. PhotoFroggy reads the phone's own photo database, so you see
albums, Live Photos, Screenshots and the rest, exactly as the
Photos app shows them.
Checked before it's deleted
When you free up space, an item only leaves the iPhone after a copy with the same name and the exact same number of bytes is found on your PC. One byte short is not a copy, so it stays.
Private by design
No account, no upload, no cloud. Everything travels over the USB cable or your own Wi-Fi to your own PC. Your photos and messages are never on anyone else's server, including ours.
One app for the whole iPhone
Photos and videos, plus messages, contacts, music and Files-app documents. One download instead of a collection of single-purpose tools.
Pay once, keep every update
$30, one time. Every future update is included: new features and the fixes new iOS versions need. No subscription, ever.
Made in English and 日本語
Fully translated, down to every error message. Not an afterthought.
Photos and videos
See everything, export exactly what you want, in full quality.
Browse the real library
- All Photos, Camera, Favourites and Recently Deleted
- Videos, Selfies, Live Photos, Portrait, Panoramas, Screenshots, Slo-mo, Cinematic and Bursts
- Your own albums, with their real names
- Every category with a live count and total size
- Sort largest first to see where the space went
- Filter by date and search by file name
- Full-size preview with arrow keys, and video playback
Export your way
- Untouched originals, or the edited versions you see in Photos
- Live Photos with their short video
- Folders by year, month or day, or one folder per album
- Export albums in one go
- File names by date taken, so they sort in order anywhere
- HEIC to JPEG if you want it, keeping date, location and colour
- Each file dated as the shot was taken
Back up without thinking
- Back up what's new: only what you haven't saved yet
- Automatic backup when the iPhone is plugged in
- Point it at an old backup folder and it skips what's already there
- Every export verified on disk
- Over USB, or your home Wi-Fi after a one-time setup with the cable
- More than one iPhone: switch between them, each with its own library
- No cable at all? Send photos from the iPhone with a QR code, over your Wi-Fi
- Honest about iCloud: tells you which originals are only in the cloud instead of quietly copying a smaller version
Free up iPhone space, safely
The step other tools leave to you, done carefully.
- Delete from the iPhone only what's verified on your PC, by name and exact size
- Over Wi-Fi, everything is checked first; plug in the cable and the delete finishes (Apple only allows deleting over USB)
- Prefer not to keep a copy? You can delete without a backup, after a clear warning
- Clear warning before anything is removed if iCloud Photos is on (deleting there deletes everywhere)
- Items synced onto the phone from a computer are explained, not silently skipped
- Anything that can't be verified stays on the phone and is listed with the reason
More than photos
One read over the cable (about 3–5 minutes) and the rest of your iPhone is on your PC too.
Messages
iMessage and SMS conversations as pages you can read and print, with names, dates, emoji and Japanese exactly as on the phone, plus a spreadsheet of every message. Photos and attachments too, if you want them. How it works
Contacts
Every contact as a vCard (.vcf) that Google Contacts, Outlook and Android import directly, plus a spreadsheet, with photos and Japanese reading names.
Music
Songs synced from a computer and iTunes purchases, copied into Artist and Album folders any player understands. Copy-protected Apple Music downloads are clearly marked. How it works
Files
Everything under “On My iPhone” in the Files app (downloads, PDFs, Word and Excel files) with its folders, plus documents kept inside apps. How it works
- Nothing on the iPhone changes. It's read, never modified
- Waits for you if the iPhone is locked, and retries if the connection drops
- Can refresh in the background whenever the iPhone connects
- Keep working in the rest of the app while it reads
A good app, not just a tool
Easy on everyone
- English and 日本語, fully translated
- Light and dark themes that follow Windows
- Larger text, stronger contrast and reduced motion
Looks after itself
- Tells you when an update is out, and installs it in one click
- Every download checked before it's installed
- Progress keeps going while you use other parts of the app
Fair licensing
- One key on up to 3 of your PCs
- Move PCs whenever you like, or free them all by email if the old ones are gone
- Lost your key? Get it emailed again in seconds
What it doesn't do (yet)
Better you hear it here than after you buy.
- Windows only. Macs already have Image Capture and Photos.
- Wi-Fi needs the cable once. Connecting over Wi-Fi needs a one-time USB setup, and deleting from the iPhone always needs the cable. Sending photos with a QR code needs no cable, but copies only what you pick, and the iPhone may send photos as JPG.
- iPhone only. iPads and network drives (NAS) haven't been tested yet.
- Encrypted iPhone backups: if your iPhone is set to encrypt local backups, messages, contacts and Files-app documents can't be read yet. Photos, music and documents inside apps work as normal.
- iCloud-only items: only what is actually on the iPhone can be copied. Photos kept only in iCloud and iCloud Drive files come from icloud.com instead.
- Apple Music downloads are copy-protected by Apple; no app can copy them.
