What's new
Every release of PhotoFroggy, newest first. Updates are free with your licence, and the app installs them for you.
1.3.0
A much bigger free version, a one-month pass, and sending photos with a QR code.
- The free version now moves up to 5 GB of photos and videos off your iPhone (and deletes up to 5 GB once they're checked), instead of a handful of files.
- Copying music and Files-app documents is now free.
- Save one text message conversation for free, with a small PhotoFroggy watermark.
- New: a one-month pass for $9.99 unlocks everything for 30 days. It never renews.
- No cable? Send photos and videos from your iPhone with a QR code. Scan it with the iPhone's camera, pick photos, and they arrive on your PC over your home Wi-Fi.
1.2.3
Works with iPhones on older iOS versions, and shows your iPhone's real model name.
- Fixed an "Internal Server Error" instead of your photos on iPhones running older versions of iOS.
- Your iPhone is shown by its name, such as "iPhone 11", instead of a code like "iPhone12,1".
- PhotoFroggy keeps its log file again, so problems are easier to fix when you contact support.
1.2.2
PhotoFroggy is now digitally signed.
- The installer and the app are now digitally signed, so Windows shows who published them and you can check the download is genuine.
1.2.1
Deleting finds every video, and a Japanese licence.
- Deleting now finds screen recordings and downloaded videos quickly, instead of searching every month.
- The installer shows the licence in Japanese for Japanese users.
1.2.0
Connect over Wi-Fi, use more than one iPhone, and finish exports and deletes in fewer steps.
- Connect over Wi-Fi: browse, export, and copy messages, contacts, music and files without a cable. Plug your iPhone in once and PhotoFroggy sets it up.
- PhotoFroggy now waits for you: choose Connect by USB or Connect over Wi-Fi when the app opens.
- More than one iPhone? Pick which one to open and switch between them. Each iPhone keeps its own library on your PC.
- Plug your iPhone in while on Wi-Fi and PhotoFroggy moves to the cable by itself.
- When an export finishes, open the folder, or delete what you just saved from your iPhone, in one step.
- Photos exported as JPG now count as backed up, once PhotoFroggy confirms each JPG is the full-size photo.
- Delete without choosing a backup folder, with a clear warning first. Over Wi-Fi, deleting finishes as soon as you plug in.
- Deleting is much faster, and now also finds screen recordings and pictures saved from other apps.
- Exports carry on if the connection drops for a moment, and Settings shows the right labels again.
1.1.1
Export albums as folders.
- Export albums as folders: pick albums, and each one is saved into its own folder, named after the album.
- If your key is active on 3 PCs you no longer have, you can free them with a reset link from photofroggy.com.
1.1.0
Messages, contacts, music and files, and PhotoFroggy now updates itself.
- Messages: save your conversations to your PC, as a page per conversation you can open in any browser, plus a spreadsheet.
- Contacts: save them as a vCard file or a spreadsheet.
- Music: copy the songs on your iPhone to your PC.
- Files: copy documents from the Files app's On My iPhone, and documents that apps share.
- Back up only what's new since last time, or automatically whenever your iPhone connects.
- Convert HEIC photos to JPG while exporting, and name files by the date they were taken.
- Updates built in: PhotoFroggy tells you when a new version is out and installs it for you, after checking the download is genuine.
- One-time licences include all future updates.
- If your iPhone locks or the connection drops while reading, PhotoFroggy waits and carries on.
1.0.1
A smaller download.
- Smaller download.
- The licences of the open-source parts PhotoFroggy is built with are now included with the app.
1.0.0
First release.
- See your iPhone's photos and videos on your PC, sorted the way the Photos app sorts them, with their real sizes.
- Export the untouched originals over USB. Every file is checked on your PC after it is written.
- Free up space: delete from your iPhone only what is verified on your PC.
- Free to try, with a one-time licence to remove the limits.
