Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 October 2026
The short version. The PhotoFroggy app has no account and never sends your photos, videos or anything about them anywhere. The only thing it sends is your licence key, when you activate it. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The personal data we hold is what is needed to deliver your licence (your email address and order), plus anything you write to us if you email support.
1. Who we are
PhotoFroggy is operated by Holly Tree Group, a sole proprietorship based in Japan. Our address and telephone number are disclosed without delay on request. For anything in this policy, write to support@photofroggy.com.
2. The application
PhotoFroggy runs entirely on your own computer. It has no account system, no telemetry, no crash reporting and no update check that identifies you.
- Your photos and videos are never transmitted. The app reads them from the iPhone over the USB cable and writes them to the folder you choose on your own drive.
- The library index stays local. A copy of the phone's photo database is kept in your Windows user folder so the app does not have to re-read it every time. You can delete it at any point.
- The interface is served only to your machine. It binds
to
127.0.0.1and is not reachable from your network. - Licence activation is the only thing sent online. When
you enter a licence key, the app sends the key and an anonymous identifier
for your PC to our licence server (
api.photofroggy.com), which replies with a signed licence that is stored locally. The PC identifier is a one-way hash of Windows' machine ID; it cannot be turned back into anything about you or your computer, and it is used only to count how many PCs a key is active on (up to three). - An occasional re-check. About every 14 days, if you are online, the app repeats the same request in the background, so that an extended update period or a refund takes effect. Being offline never stops the app working.
3. This website
This site is static. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics, no tag managers, no advertising pixels and no social embeds. Nothing you do here is profiled or shared.
Two things are stored in your browser's local storage purely as conveniences: your language choice and your light/dark preference. They never leave your browser and are not personal data in any useful sense.
Our web host records standard server logs, including IP addresses, as part of delivering the site and protecting it from abuse. We do not use those logs to identify or track individuals.
If you arrive by clicking one of our ads, the link carries the name of the
ad campaign (tags such as utm_campaign). That name follows the
links within this site and, if you buy, is passed to Paddle with your order,
so we can see which ads lead to sales. It identifies the ad, not you; it is
not stored in your browser and disappears when you leave the site. Click
identifiers that ad networks add to links are ignored.
Because nothing non-essential is set, there is no cookie banner. If that ever changes, consent will be asked for before anything is placed.
4. Payments
Purchases are handled by Paddle, which acts as the reseller and merchant of record. When you buy, Paddle collects and processes the information needed to take payment and meet tax obligations, typically your name, email address, country and payment details.
We never see or store your card details. Paddle is an independent controller of that data; their privacy notice governs it. We receive only what we need to issue and support your licence, such as your email address and the fact that an order exists.
Our licence server, hosted by Cloudflare, keeps your email address, the Paddle order reference, your licence key, the date your updates run until, and the anonymous identifiers of the PCs the key is activated on. Your key is emailed to you through our email delivery provider, Resend. We keep these records for as long as the licence exists, so a lost key can always be sent again. The “Email my key” form on this site sends the address you type to the same server, which uses it only to look up and re-send keys.
Paddle's checkout runs in a frame on our pricing page and is only loaded when you choose to start a purchase. Until then, no third-party code runs on this site at all.
5. Support email
If you email support we keep the message and your address for as long as needed to help you and to keep a record of the request, then delete it. We do not add you to a mailing list.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, export or object to the processing of your personal data, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the application itself holds no personal data of yours, these rights apply in practice to your purchase and licence records and any support correspondence.
Email support@photofroggy.com and we will respond within 30 days. For purchase data you may also contact Paddle directly.
7. Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the updated version is posted here before the change takes effect.
